Part exhibit, part speakeasy

Keepin’ House Alive takes over a hidden lounge on the second floor of the Gold Dust Motel with a project that is part interactive exhibit, part speakeasy, tracing how Miami became one of the world’s house music hubs.

Up front, the story of the city’s sound unfolds through the exhibit. In the back, an intimate, low-lit room is set aside for live DJ sets, keeping the music where it has always lived: on the floor, among the people who carry it forward.
