FERIA CLANDESTINA

Social Media Video Guide

Welcome to the Clandestina roster. We are thrilled to have you taking over a room at the Gold Dust Motel this December.

Before we transform the physical spaces in Miami, we want to introduce you and your practice to our international audience of collectors, galleries, and curators. To do this, we are putting together a series of ‘Pre-Check’ Reels which we will post on social media in the weeks leading up to the show.

We aren't looking for highly polished corporate videos. We want raw, atmospheric glimpses into your studio, your materials, and your mind as you prepare for the fair.

Here is exactly what we need from you.

🎥 The Technical Basics

  • Format: Vertical video (9:16 ratio) shot on your smartphone.

  • Length: 30 to 45 seconds total.

  • Lighting: Natural daylight is best. Face a window if you are speaking to the camera.

  • Audio: Please speak clearly and make sure there is no loud background noise (e.g., fans, loud music).

🎬 What to Film

You can film this as one continuous take or send us a few separate clips that we will stitch together.

1. The Introduction (On-Camera)

Start with your face. The intention is to connect the audience with you and your work

  • “I’m [Name], an Artist/Director/Founder of _____ based in [City/Country], and I am currently preparing  work here in my studio for Room [Number] at Feria Clandestina in Miami.”

2. The Process & Narrative (Voiceover or Speaking)

Keep this to within 30-45 seconds. Show us your hands at work, a close-up of the textures and geometries you are working with, or a slow pan across the studio/gallery/non-profit space. Tell us the story behind your proposal.

  • Prompt to answer: What is the central theme of the project you are bringing? How to this proposal relates to “TIMES LIKE THESE”? Tell us about the atmosphere you hope to create in your room.

3. The Teaser (Visual)

Show a 5-to-10 second sneak peek of the actual art being packed, crated, or finished.

  • ‘Here is a glimpse of what is making the trip to the Gold Dust. See you in Miami.’
