Syllables | Collage Series is a collection of small bi-dimensional works depicting deconstructed images of Buddha. The artist allows exposed wood panel to interact with an almost monochromatic composition, only leaving subtle color references and gilded spaces. The monochromatic path starts with photocopied images of broken Buddhist and antique sculptures., damaged by its interaction with the material world. Black screen print letters referencing a poem follow the layer of Buddha, then get lost in black and white geometrical forms that allow the viewer to understand depth as a reference to language, mind, and space; three avenues in which we explore the human experience.

Syllables | Collage Series sales will allow to channel resources towards a team of art handlers and production assistants that have been heavily impacted due to COVID-19.
